30 January Running AgainWell, I have started to run again. Granted it is in my husbands dojo so it is a lot of laps but it feels good. I use to love running and that is how I use to stay in shape but in the Marines we ran many formation runs and I hate them with a passion and I just near broke my ankle one day so after that it was painfull to run. Well thanks to martial arts my ankle is finally stronger and running doesn't really bother me. So I am excited that I can get back into it. I just wish it would warm up so I could do it outside and also ride my bike again. I got bit into that during the end of the summer and managed to lose 10 pounds doing that.
What is also helping me is that due to the season and where I work I have a lot of time off for the next couple of months so it makes it easy to watch what I eat. I am a line cook and so when the season is busy and in a 12 hour day you don't take a break it is hard to eat right. Normally eat at night and it's leftovers. Well in the next few weeks I have to go out of town for work for a week. Not sure what that is going to do to my workout schedule and eating style. Just got to hope I can stick to it as much as possible.
